If Greece’s obligations to the European Central Bank and International Monetary Fund are considered inviolable, while Greece at the same time uses existing resources to recapitalize its banks, a 50% default will result in only a quarter of Greece’s debt load being lifted, according to a recent UBS note.

Αν κάποιος δεν μπορούσε να αποπληρώσει τα δάνειά του, άρπαζαν τη γυναίκα και τα παιδιά για να τα πουλήσουν στα σκλαβοπάζαρα ώστε να αποπληρωθεί το χρέος. Ή, έστω, έστελναν τις κανονιοφόρους στον Πειραιά και υπαγόρευαν τους όρους αποπληρωμής των δανείων.

Πολύ λογικά ενήργησε ένας από τους ληστές με τα καλάσνικοφ να κρυφτεί επί μέρες σε σχολείο που βρισκόταν υπό κατάληψη. Πού θα έβρισκε πιο ασφαλές μέρος; Αν και αλβανικής καταγωγής, ο κατηγορούμενος γνώριζε καλά την ελληνική πραγματικότητα. Ηξερε πως μπροστά σε ένα πανό που γράφει «κατάληψη», όλες οι Αρχές του τόπου στέκονται προσοχή. Οι εκπαιδευτικοί δεν κάνουν τίποτε, οι δικαστές κοιτούν αλλού και οι αστυνομικοί δεν μπορούν να παρέμβουν. Ποιο είναι λοιπόν το ασφαλέστερο μέρος για να κρυφτεί κάποιος, παρά ένα σχολείο υπό κατάληψη;

Η αφίσα που κυκλοφόρησε στο Πανεπιστήμιο Αιγαίου ήταν ανατριχιαστική. Μια ομάδα «επαναστατών» από αυτούς που ενδημούν στα ΑΕΙ έβγαλε λίστα προγραφών εκείνων των διδασκόντων που αντιστάθηκαν -ρητορικώς έστω- στην παρανομία τους. «Οταν φοιτητές και εργαζόμενοι», γράφουν, «επιλέγουν τον δρόμο της συλλογικής αντίστασης για μια καλύτερη ζωή, κάποιοι άλλοι (βλέπε παρακάτω) εθελοτυφλούν και επιδιώκουν το προσωπικό τους βόλεμα».
