Ήταν δέκα μέρες σαν σκωτσέζικο ντουζ. Ο πολιτικός χρόνος
συμπυκνώθηκε δραματικά και οι διαθέσεις της κοινής γνώμης κυμαινόταν μεταξύ
απελπισίας και ανάτασης, μεταξύ ελπίδας και απογοήτευσης. Είχαμε τα θλιβερά
επεισόδια στη διάρκεια των παρελάσεων της 28ης Οκτωβρίου, όπου έμπρακτα πια και
οχλοκρατικά αμφισβητήθηκε και σε συμβολικό επίπεδο η Δημοκρατία. Ακολούθησε η
αναγγελία ενός δημοψηφίσματος που σόκαρε εντός κι εκτός Ελλάδος και η άμεση
απόσυρσή του. Η παραίτηση ενός πρωθυπουργού, η πρώτη άτεχνη συνεργασία των δύο
μεγαλύτερων κομμάτων.
Είχαμε την επιλογή ενός νέου πρωθυπουργού μέσα από σαράντα
κύματα και ισάριθμες αναταράξεις στα δύο κόμματα. Ο νέος πρωθυπουργός αναπτέρωσε
τις ελπίδες των πολιτών, αλλά η δημιουργία του «νέου» κυβερνητικού σχήματος τις
προσγείωσε. Είδαμε την εξέγερση των βουλευτών των δύο κομμάτων και των υπουργών
του ΠΑΣΟΚ στον ελάχιστο κοινό παρονομαστή συμφωνίας των δύο κομμάτων που ήταν ο
κ. Φίλιππος Πετσάλνικος, και είχε ως αποτέλεσμα την επιλογή του τεχνοκράτη
πρωθυπουργού, πλαισιωμένου από πολιτικά στελέχη.
Ζήσαμε την ταχύτατη μετατόπιση της Νέας Δημοκρατίας σε πιο
κεντρώες θέσεις και ταυτόχρονα την ταχύτατη επίσης μετατόπιση της ελληνικής
κοινωνίας προς τα δεξιά. Για πρώτη φορά ένα λαϊκιστικό κόμμα, που πολιτεύεται
με σημαίες ευκαιρίας κι έχει πολλά ακροδεξιά στοιχεία μπήκε στην κυβέρνηση και
οι αντιδράσεις που υπήρξαν ήταν ελάχιστες.
Είδαμε μετά πολλά χρόνια αμήχανη σε μια γωνιά την Αριστερά.
Το δάχτυλο που σήκωνε από τον ιδεολογικό της θρόνο, βαφτίζοντας
«νεοφιλελεύθερο» κάθε μέτρο εξορθολογισμού της κοινωνίας μαζεύτηκε απότομα. Ακόμη
και οι πιο παλαβές της συνιστώσες κατάλαβαν ότι τα πράγματα έχουν γίνει
εξαιρετικά σοβαρά και ότι οι ανέξοδες κραυγές δεν βοηθούν, ούτε την ίδια. Με
την ίδια σκέψη πιθανώς ησύχασε και το κέντρο της Αθήνας. Μετά την αναγγελία του
δημοψηφίσματος και το χαστούκι «διαλέξτε: μέσα ή έξω από το ευρώ» η πλατεία
Συντάγματος ησύχασε. Σαν να άρχισαν όλοι να αναλογίζονται τι πραγματικά
παίζεται αυτές τις μέρες και πόσο κινδυνεύει η χώρα.
Τι απομένει, λοιπόν, μετά την γκρίζα 28η Οκτωβρίου; Μια θολή
ατμόσφαιρα και φόβος για το αύριο της χώρας. Τα μεγάλα προβλήματα παραμένουν
και γίνονται όλο και πιο απειλητικά. Το πρακτορείο Reuters αποκαλύπτει ότι οι
πετρελαιοπαραγωγές χώρες μάς έκοψαν την πίστωση· μαζί τους και η -κατά
φαντασίαν πολλών εθνικοφρόνων- σύμμαχος, η Ρωσία του τσάρου Πούτιν. Ούτε οι
ορθόδοξοι αδελφοί δεν εμπιστεύονται τις ελληνικές υποσχετικές σε ευρώ. Σαν να
το ’χει πάρει απόφαση όλος ο κόσμος ότι οδεύουμε ταχύτατα προς την καταστροφή.
Αυτό που κατάλαβε όλος ο κόσμος το κατανόησε τελευταίο το
πολιτικό σύστημα. «Τα ψέματα τέλειωσαν», «οι μάσκες έπεσαν», και ας ελπίσουμε
ότι όλοι μαζί θα πράξουν το αυτονόητο για τη σωτηρία της χώρας. Θα πάψουν τις
ανέξοδες για τους ίδιους βολές, τα παιχνιδάκια και τις υπονομεύσεις της
κυβέρνησης σωτηρίας που ομολογουμένως στα γρήγορα σχηματίστηκε. Δεν έμεινε άλλο
περιθώριο για παιχνίδια. Για την Ευρώπη το κόστος παραμονής της Ελλάδας στην
Ευρωζώνη έγινε μεγαλύτερο από το κόστος αποχώρησής της. Θα τους κάνουμε την
χάρη;
